Collection: Japanese Silk Table Runners

Silk Table Runners from Vintage Japanese Obi

These silk table runners are crafted from vintage Japanese ceremonial silk, originally woven for weddings, tea ceremonies, and formal occasions in Shōwa and early Heisei Japan. They bring quiet, museum-level Japanese textile art to dining tables, consoles, and end-of-bed benches.

Laid through the centre of a table, each runner becomes a soft axis for the room — a single stroke of pattern and light that needs very little beside it. Styled with candles, fine glassware, or left almost bare, they are made for long dinners, intimate tea services, and gallery-length banquets.

Each silk table runner is singular and unrepeatable. Once the original textile is cut, that composition does not return.

One silk. One story. One piece. Never repeated.
