Aki-no-mori. The autumn forest. Mono no aware — the bittersweet beauty of transience — woven here in two complete silks: maple in full colour, and the stillness of vermilion.
On the first face, the ground is dyed in deep kurenai crimson and populated with polychromatic momiji — Japanese maple in full autumn colour, rendered in azure, marigold, sage and rust through a precision polychromatic weave. The reverse is its counterpart in stillness: a solid, tactile cross-weave in vermilion, structured and unhurried. A double-faced silk of this construction demands twice the loom time and twice the material of a single-faced runner. The crimson gives the composition its season. The vermilion gives it its quiet.
A runner that turns the daily table into something a little finer — quiet beauty for ordinary moments, gathered around a shared meal.
Reversible double-faced silk. Turn it over to change the room. No metal touches the visible silk.

Care
Care
Spot clean only — these are ceremonial silks, not washable textiles. Avoid prolonged direct sunlight to preserve the depth of colour. The envelope pocket closure requires no zip or metal clasp touching the silk: this is intentional. Mottainai — nothing wasted, nothing forced.
