Yukiwa. The circles of fresh snow. The family of circular motifs historically associated with winter ceremonies and the purity of new snow — woven here in gold across ake-iro crimson.
The runner is drawn from a Kinran ceremonial obi — gold-wrapped thread woven into the silk structure through the supplementary weft method. The gold thread is wound around a silk core, producing a surface that holds warmth without the brittleness of pure metal. Yukiwa snowflake medallions and starburst rosettes are placed across a ground of deep ake-iro imperial crimson. The crimson gives the composition its lineage. The yukiwa gives it its season.
A runner that turns the daily table into something a little finer — quiet beauty for ordinary moments, gathered around a shared meal.
The runner is lined in undyed silk to protect the face. No metal touches the visible silk.

Care
Care
Spot clean only — these are ceremonial silks, not washable textiles. Avoid prolonged direct sunlight to preserve the depth of colour. The envelope pocket closure requires no zip or metal clasp touching the silk: this is intentional. Mottainai — nothing wasted, nothing forced.
