Midori. The green that grows. Described in Japanese colour nomenclature as the green of new foliage and moss — woven here with silver kinginsha that reads as rain light on water.
The runner is drawn from a Japanese ceremonial silk obi — pure silk woven with silver metallic thread in a vertical stripe construction with chevron-formed geometric divisions. The Nishijin-ori technique integrates kinginsha thread without disrupting the drape, producing a surface that carries the fluid movement of pure silk and the reflective quality of woven silver. The midori gives the composition its life. The silver gives it its shimmer.
A runner that turns the daily table into something a little finer — quiet beauty for ordinary moments, gathered around a shared meal.
The runner is lined in undyed silk to protect the face. No metal touches the visible silk.

Care
Care
Spot clean only — these are ceremonial silks, not washable textiles. Avoid prolonged direct sunlight to preserve the depth of colour. The envelope pocket closure requires no zip or metal clasp touching the silk: this is intentional. Mottainai — nothing wasted, nothing forced.
