Yume no kasumi. A mist between dream and waking. Pale blush peach woven with copper damask, where the pattern surfaces only as a soft shadow.
The silk is pale blush peach with an iridescent shimmer, woven dense all-over in a tone-on-tone damask of scrolling karakusa arabesque and muted floral medallions. The weave carries gold and copper thread through the ground, but the contrast is held so low that the pattern reads as memory rather than statement. Dusty rose, warm copper, soft lavender, and pale gold move through the cloth as light moves through cloud. The hand is satin-smooth, the lustre quiet.
A bag for evenings that begin softly — a champagne flute, a candle-lit table, a room where conversation does the work.
The silk is the original obi face, designed and finished into a knot bag at the Renaras atelier. Knotted self-closure, silk lining. No metal touches the silk. No clasp, no hardware, no zip.
Renaras: Japanese ceremonial silk, reimagined for daily life.
Each piece arrives with its own passport from the atelier — a small handmade record of the silk's first life and its transformation, signed and dated in Amsterdam.

Care
Care
Spot clean only — these are ceremonial silks, not washable textiles. Avoid prolonged direct sunlight to preserve the depth of colour. The envelope pocket closure requires no zip or metal clasp touching the silk: this is intentional. Mottainai — nothing wasted, nothing forced.
