Yamane no hi. A fire at the base of a low mountain. Angular triangular panels in graduated mustard and rust, reading almost like an abstract mountain landscape.
The silk is warm mustard ochre, banded into a patchwork of irregular triangular and diamond panels that move through butter yellow, rust orange, and pale ivory cream. A subtle gold sheen runs through the ground; faint floral and foliage motifs surface within individual patches. The geometry has the cut quality of a piece of textile design at the edge of abstraction — half landscape, half pattern. The lustre is satin, with a slightly aged matte cast on the deeper sections.
A bag for late autumn — a wool coat in oxblood or charcoal, a long walk through a city in October, a dinner with old friends.
The silk is the original obi face, designed and finished into a knot bag at the Renaras atelier. Knotted self-closure, silk lining. No metal touches the silk. No clasp, no hardware, no zip.
Renaras: Japanese ceremonial silk, reimagined for daily life.
Each piece arrives with its own passport from the atelier — a small handmade record of the silk's first life and its transformation, signed and dated in Amsterdam.

Care
Care
Spot clean only — these are ceremonial silks, not washable textiles. Avoid prolonged direct sunlight to preserve the depth of colour. The envelope pocket closure requires no zip or metal clasp touching the silk: this is intentional. Mottainai — nothing wasted, nothing forced.
