Yamamichi. The mountain path that cuts across the field. A bold scarlet and gold chevron drawn diagonally across an ivory tone-on-tone damask of hexagonal lattice and small flowers.
The silk is warm ivory cream, heavily brocaded in a white-on-white damask of small florals set inside a kikkō hexagonal grid. Cutting across the field, a band of bold chevron stripes runs in vivid scarlet, marigold yellow, sky blue, and soft gold — an architectural seam joining two registers of cloth. The lower body is fine and quiet; the chevron is graphic and decisive. Gold thread outlines the bright stripes and emerges along the damask in low light.
A bag for confident afternoons — a tailored coat, an opening at a gallery, a long drive home through a city you love.
The silk is the original obi face, designed and finished into a knot bag at the Renaras atelier. Knotted self-closure, silk lining. No metal touches the silk. No clasp, no hardware, no zip.

Care
Care
Spot clean only — these are ceremonial silks, not washable textiles. Avoid prolonged direct sunlight to preserve the depth of colour. The envelope pocket closure requires no zip or metal clasp touching the silk: this is intentional. Mottainai — nothing wasted, nothing forced.
