Sude no iro. The colour of the unadorned hand. A near-solid warm biscuit tan, where only the sculptural knot itself carries the design.
The silk is warm biscuit tan, smooth and satin-faced with a soft matte sheen that approaches the quality of brushed suede. The ground holds only the faintest tonal mottling — subtle deeper tan undertones, a passage of soft beige — and no figural motif at all. There is no metallic thread. The composition is the silk itself, and the way the knot folds it into form. This is an obi for the person who knows that restraint is the most demanding kind of design.
A bag for any day a person decides to dress as themselves — a cream linen suit, an unbleached cotton dress, a long bookshop afternoon.
The silk is the original obi face, designed and finished into a knot bag at the Renaras atelier. Knotted self-closure, silk lining. No metal touches the silk. No clasp, no hardware, no zip.

Care
Care
Spot clean only — these are ceremonial silks, not washable textiles. Avoid prolonged direct sunlight to preserve the depth of colour. The envelope pocket closure requires no zip or metal clasp touching the silk: this is intentional. Mottainai — nothing wasted, nothing forced.
