Aki no eda. A branch in autumn. Two small sprigs of leaves anchored at the lower corners of a warm camel ground — almost everything kept empty.
The silk is warm camel tan with a soft golden undertone, smooth and satin-faced with a matte finish that swallows light rather than reflecting it. Small stylised foliage sprigs sit only at the lower corners, worked in deeper russet brown and soft fawn. The rest is plain — an act of compositional restraint that lets the cloth itself become the subject. No metallic thread, no second voice. The silk holds its colour the way late autumn holds its warmth.
A bag for quiet days and considered rooms — a wool coat in winter, a linen jacket in spring, anywhere a still object is welcome.
The silk is the original obi face, designed and finished into a knot bag at the Renaras atelier. Knotted self-closure, silk lining. No metal touches the silk. No clasp, no hardware, no zip.
Renaras: Japanese ceremonial silk, reimagined for daily life.
Each piece arrives with its own passport from the atelier — a small handmade record of the silk's first life and its transformation, signed and dated in Amsterdam.

Care
Care
Spot clean only — these are ceremonial silks, not washable textiles. Avoid prolonged direct sunlight to preserve the depth of colour. The envelope pocket closure requires no zip or metal clasp touching the silk: this is intentional. Mottainai — nothing wasted, nothing forced.
