Kikkō. The geometry of longevity. The tortoiseshell hexagon — symbol of long life across centuries of Japanese decorative arts — woven here as architecture in platinum, oatmeal and champagne.
The runner is drawn from a Japanese ceremonial silk obi — pure silk woven in a disciplined geometric lattice of interlocking hexagons and diamond forms — a pattern rooted in the kikkō tradition. The geometry is built into the warp and weft: pattern and silk are inseparable. The palette moves between platinum grey, warm oatmeal, and pale champagne, an architectural neutral that draws warmth from natural wood and quiet authority from stone. The silk carries a fluid, iridescent sheen characteristic of high-grade Japanese shimmer weaves. The platinum gives the composition its calm. The hexagons give it its long life.
A runner that turns the daily table into something a little finer — quiet beauty for ordinary moments, gathered around a shared meal.
The runner is lined in undyed silk to protect the face. No metal touches the visible silk.

Care
Care
Spot clean only — these are ceremonial silks, not washable textiles. Avoid prolonged direct sunlight to preserve the depth of colour. The envelope pocket closure requires no zip or metal clasp touching the silk: this is intentional. Mottainai — nothing wasted, nothing forced.
