Kikkō. Kiri. Kiku. Three of Japan's most enduring crests gathered into one composition — tortoiseshell, paulownia, chrysanthemum — woven across lacquer-black silk.
Against a deep lacquer-black silk ground, the kikkō tortoiseshell hexagon is rendered in a heavy raised metallic gold grid. At each hexagonal centre, kiri paulownia crests and kiku imperial chrysanthemums alternate in vivid vermilion, leaf green and burnished gold — the twin symbols of the Japanese empress and the imperial throne, woven together. The black gives the composition its authority. The gold gives it its grid.
A pillow for ivory linen, charcoal, forest green, the aged oak of a library — quiet beauty for ordinary moments, gathered around a shared table.
Seamless envelope closure. No metal touches the visible silk.

Care
Care
Spot clean only — these are ceremonial silks, not washable textiles. Avoid prolonged direct sunlight to preserve the depth of colour. The envelope pocket closure requires no zip or metal clasp touching the silk: this is intentional. Mottainai — nothing wasted, nothing forced.
