A lumbar pillow cover in Japanese ceremonial silk, cut from a Nishijin fukuro obi (袋帯): ryūsui (流水, flowing water) currents in genuine silver-foil thread across a kaki-iro persimmon ground. Envelope-pocket back, no metal against the silk; 50 × 30 cm. For warm rooms wanting movement. Spot clean only. Unrepeatable, finished at the Renaras atelier, Amsterdam.
Ryūsui. The flowing water motif. Among the oldest decorative motifs in the Japanese canon — the beauty of flow, the grace of movement — woven here in genuine silver foil thread.
Against a vivid kaki-iro persimmon-orange silk ground, undulating currents of ryūsui move across the surface in genuine silver foil thread (gin-shi), raised and architectural, catching light like water catching sky. The gin-shi threads are not printed or dyed — they are woven into the structure of the silk, strand by strand. The persimmon gives the composition its warmth. The silver gives it its current.
A pillow for white linen sofas, pale stone consoles, natural oak shelving — the single saturated note that makes an interior feel finished. Quiet beauty for ordinary moments, gathered around a shared table.
Seamless envelope closure. No metal touches the visible silk.

Care
Care
Spot clean only — these are ceremonial silks, not washable textiles. Avoid prolonged direct sunlight to preserve the depth of colour. The envelope pocket closure requires no zip or metal clasp touching the silk: this is intentional. Mottainai — nothing wasted, nothing forced.
