Raden. Light on water. The Japanese art of inlaying mother-of-pearl, translated here through the loom — iridescent currents in champagne, silver and the faintest apricot.

Across the surface, sweeping abstract wave currents — inspired by raden — wash in champagne gold, cool silver, and the faintest whisper of apricot. The mosaic-like texture of the weave refracts light differently at every angle, giving the silk an almost liquid luminosity. In the Nishijin tradition, this iridescent quality is achieved through the precise interplay of silk and metallic thread. The champagne gives the composition its calm. The silver gives it its tide.

A pillow that disappears beautifully into all-white interiors, glows against stone and travertine — quiet beauty for ordinary moments, gathered around a shared table.

Seamless envelope closure, cream silk reverse. No metal touches the visible silk.

Care

Spot clean only — these are ceremonial silks, not washable textiles. Avoid prolonged direct sunlight to preserve the depth of colour. The envelope pocket closure requires no zip or metal clasp touching the silk: this is intentional. Mottainai — nothing wasted, nothing forced.
