Hōsōge. The treasure flower of the Silk Road. A botanical fantasy that has never existed in nature — conceived in classical China, carried into Japan along the trade routes, woven here into ceremonial silk as a symbol of paradise and abundance.
The silk is a warm gold ground, patterned with a tone-on-tone rinzu diamond weave that shifts in the light from matte to luminous. Across the field, hōsōge treasure flowers bloom in a kaleidoscope of colour — crimson, coral-pink, emerald green, cerulean blue, soft purple — held within a hishi diamond lattice that lends architectural order to the floral exuberance beneath. Each petal is rendered in individual colour blocks of remarkable thread density. The lattice gives the composition its discipline. The colour gives it its song.
A pillow that holds its own against navy, charcoal, ivory, terracotta — quiet beauty for ordinary moments, gathered around a shared table.
The face carries the full chromatic field. The reverse is finished in the obi's original gold rinzu satin, a tone-on-tone diamond pattern that is itself a work of quiet geometry. The pillow can be turned. Envelope pocket closure. No metal touches the visible silk.

Care
Care
Spot clean only — these are ceremonial silks, not washable textiles. Avoid prolonged direct sunlight to preserve the depth of colour. The envelope pocket closure requires no zip or metal clasp touching the silk: this is intentional. Mottainai — nothing wasted, nothing forced.
