The Ethereal Fuji Dawn is a Japanese silk lumbar pillow handcrafted by Renaras from an authentic vintage Fukuro Obi, woven in the classical Nishijin tradition of Kyoto. Against a warm gold silk ground, the silhouette of Mt. Fuji (Fujisan) rises in muted celadon, pale blush, and haze-blue — its snow-capped summit threaded in shimmering silver and platinum that catches light like frost at first sun. The atmospheric, watercolour-like gradation of colour is not printed. It is woven, thread by thread, by a master artisan who no longer exists in commercial practice.

This is Fuji-e — the Japanese tradition of depicting the sacred mountain as an object of quiet contemplation — realised not in ink or pigment, but in silk and precious metallic thread, for the walls and sofas of the most considered European interiors.

The gold colourway integrates seamlessly into interiors furnished in warm neutrals, aged brass, natural oak, or Venetian plaster — and provides a luminous counterpoint to rooms in deep charcoal or forest green.
