A lumbar pillow cover in Japanese ceremonial silk, cut from a Nishijin fukuro obi (袋帯): ogi (扇, folding fans — suehiro 末広, opening fortune) cascading in gold across a soft cream ground. Envelope-pocket back, no metal against the silk; 50 × 30 cm. For restrained, considered rooms. Spot clean only. Unrepeatable, finished at the Renaras atelier, Amsterdam.
Ogi. Suehiro — fortune opening. The folding fan of Japanese court culture, tea ceremony and Noh theatre — opening here in cascading formation across cream silk.
Against a soft cream silk ground — the colour of restraint, of considered elegance — ogi folding fans unfurl in cascading formation, lavishly embroidered in burnished gold, persimmon orange and deep azure blue. Each fan opens to reveal intricate inner worlds of kiku chrysanthemums and stylised pine, bound in the overlapping rhythm only a Nishijin master weaver could sustain. The cream gives the composition its discretion. The gold gives it its harmony.
A pillow for navy, forest green, warm ivory — quiet beauty for ordinary moments, gathered around a shared table.
Seamless envelope closure. No metal touches the visible silk.

Care
Care
Spot clean only — these are ceremonial silks, not washable textiles. Avoid prolonged direct sunlight to preserve the depth of colour. The envelope pocket closure requires no zip or metal clasp touching the silk: this is intentional. Mottainai — nothing wasted, nothing forced.
