The Copper Gold Royal Kiku is a Japanese silk lumbar pillow handcrafted by Renaras from an authentic vintage Fukuro Obi, woven in the Nishijin tradition of Kyoto. Against a burnished copper silk ground — warm, deep, and luminous in the way that only genuine aged silk can be — the Kiku (菊), the Imperial Chrysanthemum, radiates outward in shimmering copper-gold thread from a striking silver centre. No secondary motifs. No competing narratives. Only the chrysanthemum, rendered in a disciplined monochrome metallic palette of extraordinary refinement.

The Kiku is the personal seal of the Emperor of Japan — the sixteen-petalled chrysanthemum that has appeared on the Imperial throne, on passports, and on the gates of shrines for over twelve centuries. To wear it, or to weave it, has always been an act of the highest cultural significance. On this luxury decorative cushion, it arrives not as imitation but as inheritance — the motif preserved in Nishijin silk long before Renaras gave it its second and final life in the European home.
