Kikkō. The hexagon of longevity. One of Japan's longest-continuous symbols of protection — the tortoiseshell geometry, rendered here at architectural scale across midnight-black silk.
Against a midnight-black silk ground, the kikkō tortoiseshell hexagon is rendered in deep vermilion and gold, with platinum silver flashing at the intersections. At each hexagonal centre, hanabishi floral crests emerge in layered metallic thread, building an architectural depth no printed fabric can approach. The black gives the composition its weight. The vermilion gives it its voice.
A pillow for monochrome sofas, richly upholstered armchairs, charcoal-linen beds — quiet beauty for ordinary moments, gathered around a shared table.
The face is the original silk, backed in undyed linen. Envelope pocket closure. No metal touches the visible silk.

Care
Care
Spot clean only — these are ceremonial silks, not washable textiles. Avoid prolonged direct sunlight to preserve the depth of colour. The envelope pocket closure requires no zip or metal clasp touching the silk: this is intentional. Mottainai — nothing wasted, nothing forced.
