Momiji. The turning of the leaves. The Japanese tradition of momiji-gari — attending to beauty in its moment of maximum intensity and imminent disappearance, carried here across an amber silk ground.
The ground is kaki-iro — the colour the Japanese call persimmon. Across it, large-scale momiji maple leaves cascade in pink-blush and sage-green, joined by ume plum blossoms in cream and burnished gold. The gold and silver kinshi thread sits dense at the floral centres, each leaf rendered at the scale of a painting rather than a pattern. The amber gives the composition its warmth. The cascading leaves give it its rhythm.
A pillow for charcoal sofas, cream daybeds, minimalist rooms that welcome one deliberate season — quiet beauty for ordinary moments, gathered around a shared table.
The face is the original obi silk. The reverse is finished in vivid persimmon-orange satin — bold enough to change the room when turned. Envelope pocket closure. No metal touches the visible silk.

Care
Care
Spot clean only — these are ceremonial silks, not washable textiles. Avoid prolonged direct sunlight to preserve the depth of colour. The envelope pocket closure requires no zip or metal clasp touching the silk: this is intentional. Mottainai — nothing wasted, nothing forced.
