A lumbar pillow cover in Japanese ceremonial silk, cut from a Nishijin fukuro obi (袋帯): the kusudama (薬玉, ceremonial scented-ball ornament) bursting with autumn momiji (紅葉, maple) and ume across a kaki-iro persimmon-amber ground. Envelope-pocket back, no metal against the silk; 50 × 31 cm. For warm autumn interiors. Spot clean only. Unrepeatable, finished at the Renaras atelier, Amsterdam.
Kaki-iro. The colour of a persimmon. The amber-orange of late October — the silk of a single autumn, held now between palms.
Against a warm amber-orange ground, large-scale autumn botanicals cascade across the surface: momiji maple leaves in pink-blush and sage-green, ume plum blossoms in cream and burnished gold, broad leaves in graduated green and bronze. The composition is loose, painterly, seasonal — like looking down at the floor of a temple garden in late October. Areas of fine vertical ribbing, flat satin ground and raised floral centres each carry their own weave technique. The amber gives the composition its glow. The botanicals give it its season.
A pillow for charcoal sofas, cream daybeds, dark-timber rooms that welcome one deliberate season — quiet beauty for ordinary moments, gathered around a shared table.
The face is the original silk. The reverse is finished in the obi's original persimmon-orange satin — bold enough to change the room when turned. Envelope pocket closure. No metal touches the visible silk.

Care
Care
Spot clean only — these are ceremonial silks, not washable textiles. Avoid prolonged direct sunlight to preserve the depth of colour. The envelope pocket closure requires no zip or metal clasp touching the silk: this is intentional. Mottainai — nothing wasted, nothing forced.
