The skilled art of Japanese cloth wrapping, performed by hand in our Amsterdam atelier.
We offer wrapping in two traditions: furoshiki (風呂敷), a square cloth of cotton or rayon folded with care and precision; or fukusa (袱紗), a square of vintage Japanese ceremonial silk — hemmed, lined, sized to your object, and kept by the recipient as a finished object in its own right.
The wrapping service is €35 per piece. The cloth — furoshiki or fukusa — is selected and purchased separately. Contact us before placing your order to discuss your piece, the occasion, and the cloth that suits both.
What is included: hand-wrapping by an experienced maker, a card with the story of the cloth, careful packing for transit.
Available for Renaras pieces and for objects acquired elsewhere. Complimentary wrapping service for Renaras purchases above €100 — cloth arranged additionally.

Care
Spot clean only — these are ceremonial silks, not washable textiles. Avoid prolonged direct sunlight to preserve the depth of colour. The envelope pocket closure requires no zip or metal clasp touching the silk: this is intentional. Mottainai — nothing wasted, nothing forced.
