The Imperial Garden. The chrysanthemum and the butterfly. A pairing carried through Japanese textile tradition for centuries — the flower of autumn longevity and the soul in transit, set together across a single field of silk.
The silk is burnished terracotta, framed by deep aubergine and dusty blue-grey panels. Heavyweight, multi-panel weave. Across the central field, chrysanthemums and cosmos open in muted gold and violet; butterflies move between them in high-definition embroidery, lifted by a metallic shimmer that catches the light from above. The terracotta gives the composition its warmth. The aubergine gives it its weight.
A runner that turns the daily table into something a little finer — quiet beauty for ordinary moments, gathered around a shared meal.
The runner is lined in undyed silk to protect the face. No metal touches the visible silk.

Care
Care
Spot clean only — these are ceremonial silks, not washable textiles. Avoid prolonged direct sunlight to preserve the depth of colour. The envelope pocket closure requires no zip or metal clasp touching the silk: this is intentional. Mottainai — nothing wasted, nothing forced.
