Tapestry display bars. Handmade hardwood, leather hanging cord.
Renaras tapestry bars are premium, handmade hardware for hanging anything flat — a Japanese silk obi, a kakejiku scroll, a tenugui cloth, a favourite poster, a botanical print, a child's painting, a football scarf made into something to hang on a wall. The mechanism is simple: two solid hardwood bars, one for the top edge and one for the bottom, joined by a leather cord. The textile sits between them, held flat by gentle, even pressure across the full width — no nails, no clips, no piercing of the fabric, no adhesive.
Each pair is handmade in solid hardwood and finished with a leather hanging cord. The slender profile of the bar makes itself quiet, so the eye travels directly to whatever it holds rather than the hardware. Available in two finishes — natural maple and tea-stained dark hardwood. Sized to suit anything from small artwork to wide textiles.

Every acquisition leaves the atelier in Amsterdam wrapped in furoshiki, accompanied by its Renaras passport, and travels with tracking. Pieces are dispatched within 1–3 working days.
Complimentary delivery within the Netherlands, the European Union and the United Kingdom. Other destinations: €35 under €100, €60 from €100, complimentary from €750; import duties are payable on delivery.
Returns
Returns
Returns are accepted within 14 days of delivery, provided the piece is returned in its original condition. Within the European Union, the atelier provides a prepaid return label. As every textile is singular and unrepeatable, pieces are to be handled with care. Please write to contact@renaras.com before returning. Read the full returns policy.
Care
Care
Spot clean only — these are ceremonial silks, not washable textiles. Avoid prolonged direct sunlight to preserve the depth of colour. The envelope pocket closure requires no zip or metal clasp touching the silk: this is intentional. Mottainai — nothing wasted, nothing forced.
