The damask of permanence. The classical floral medallion — woven structure rather than applied pattern — held here in aubergine, muted gold and ivory.
The runner is drawn from a Japanese ceremonial silk obi — pure silk constructed in complex damask Jacquard weave, classical floral medallions and scrolling paisley built into the cloth as architectural geometry. The palette moves through deep aubergine burgundy, muted gold and ivory. The aubergine gives the composition its weight. The medallions give it its lineage.
A runner for a table that keeps its composure: the medallions hold the centre while the meal moves around them.
The runner is lined in undyed silk to protect the face. No metal touches the visible silk.
Renaras: Japanese ceremonial silk, reimagined for daily life.
Each piece arrives with its own passport from the atelier — a small handmade record of the silk's first life and its transformation, signed and dated in Amsterdam.

Care
Care
Spot clean only — these are ceremonial silks, not washable textiles. Avoid prolonged direct sunlight to preserve the depth of colour. The envelope pocket closure requires no zip or metal clasp touching the silk: this is intentional. Mottainai — nothing wasted, nothing forced.
