At Renaras, we curate the extraordinary. We are distinguished to present a Furisode that defies convention—a garment that eschews the traditional reds and pinks for a palette of intellectual sophistication and daring luxury.
The canvas is a deep, resonant Karashi-iro (Spiced Ochre)—a shade of dark mustard gold that evokes the earthiness of autumn and the opulence of Byzantine silks. This complex hue is currently dominating the runways of Milan and Paris, making this vintage piece strikingly contemporary.
Across this golden ground dances a vision of Royal Amethyst Butterflies (Cho). In Japanese tradition, the butterfly represents the soul’s liberation and the beautiful transformation into womanhood. Here, they are rendered in bold strokes of purple and emerald, accented with Silver and Gold foil that glimmers like stardust against the matte silk.
A Study in "Taisho Roman" This design echoes the Taisho Roman artistic movement of early 20th-century Japan—a time when Western Art Nouveau collided with traditional Japanese aesthetics. It is dramatic, it is artistic, and it is undeniably chic.
