A Canvas of Silk. A Soul of Artistry.
At Renaras, we celebrate the artistry of the vow. We are proud to present the "Taikan," a top-quality Uchikake that embodies the very soul of the Japanese wedding tradition.
Meaning "Great Crown," the Taikan is designed to drape the bride in elegance and splendor as she departs for her new life. The design is centered on the Pine tree—a symbol of longevity and deep peace. As the ancient verse sings of "Midori for a thousand years," the evergreen color painted here represents a wish for prosperity and enduring strength through all four seasons.
The creation of this piece is a labor of devotion. The "Koma Haniwa" base is meticulously decorated with real lacquer and rich layers of gold leaf. Over this opulent foundation, the pine trees are hand-painted one brushstroke at a time, creating a depth and vibrancy that photos can barely capture.
A promise of forever. The Taikan by Renaras.
